Feelings about Hair Loss Post partum

 Back in march I posted about my postpartum hair so far. It has been doing incredibly well. And right on schedule, at 3 month mark, it started falling out. It has now been nearly two years and so I wanted to do a little update.

 My postpartum hair has been doing so well so far. I honestly can’t complain at all. All the myths I heared over the years about baby girls stealing your beauty and hair during pregnancy seemed to be false in my case. My skin has been doing surprisingly well and hair has been thriving.

In case you happened to watch or read about my janurary favorites including all the hair products, you saw me talk about scalp scrub. It is something I have receantly added to my hair wash routine and I have been really into it. I honestly don' t know how I got by without it. That is why I decided to write a whole post about it.

 With January gone (how did that happen?) it is only fitting to shre my favorite hair products. As I have tried a few new things, figured out what works best for me and my hair right now and overall wanted to share these products and tools with you all. 

How to wear 50's and 60's Hair today

As promised, I am bringing you a lot more hair content. Starting off with a bit of a decade theme. There is so much to take from history of style and hair has always been changing and evolving. You have deffinitelly noticed that past styles have a huge influence on what we do or wear today. One of them I have seen a lot lately is a lovely mix of 50' s and 60's. The volume from sixties and curl from fifties mixed together give you a very now look. Little flirty, sexy and put together. Can also change depending on outfit you add it to. 

My Hair Mask Routine

 In last few months I got myself into a nice routine. No not a life routine, just a hair one. As I have previously said in few posts, I have been trying to improve the condition of my hair. In the process my natural waves came back. And so I now finally came up with a routine that works best for me, my hair and my scalp. 

Main part really is the hair mask routine. Once a week- usually on Sunday, I treat my hair to some extra care. I use two different hair masks. One is for my scalp and the other is for my hair (especially those dry, bleached ends).

Maybe you want your hair to look naturally wavy, beachy or straight up like a mermaid. Well this is something worth buying. Hair Waver. 
It is essentially a 3 jumbo barrel tool that is a great upgrade on 90s crimpers. The barrels creates a loose wave that helps you achieve perfect beachy look.  Everyone is using it including me and I think you should give it a go too. 

Easy Isolation Hair Styles

I think we all might be struggling a little with this whole social distancing. Having to stay at home might make it difficult to get out of your pjs in the morning. I found it really important pretty early on, to get ready for the day as soon as I get out of bed. Not necessarily putting on a full work ready outfit. But the process of changing from your night time clothes to day time and maybe putting on some makeup and doing your hair- it helps you mentally realize that it is time to conquer the world. You might be planning on getting some house work done or you work from home. Perhaps you are only going to cook and read book all day. Still the process of getting changed makes a big difference in your day, especially this is not a two day weekend situation. 
Main thing I tried to stop neglecting was my hair. And what is the easiest and least damaging way to style your hair? Accessories! So let me show you.

Red for the Holidays

As as hairstylist I am tempted to change my hair color almost every day. I know how to approach it and I myself create some good work. Still I decided to stick to some sort of blonde for about 2 years now. If there is anything people know about me, its that 2  years is a long time to be committed to one hair style. So change has been in the air. 

Granny Look

I have been wanting to change my hair for a while now. The whole smudged root thing has been in for som time now and yes it is real practical as it keeps me from having to touch up my roots 24/7. Now I am not saying that I suddenly have plenty of time to spend of doing my hair, but the change has really been needed.
Now even though I am a hairdresser myself and I tend to do my hair alone- help has been needed. So I used my holidays back in the hometown to get this blonde straw I call my hair sorted out.
The plan was simple. Get rid of the dark roots and make it all somewhat even with high/low-light situation.

Bbb-Birch Box numero One

If you have been my reader for a while, you know that a 'Me time' is real important for me. It is my way of cleansing not only a body but also mind. Switching off and only focusing on myself. Trying out new products, feeling how tight or cold a face mask gets, how soft or rough the skin is or anything else that is - me, me, me! Being bit selfish for a while. As I pamper my clients all day everyday at work, this is sure well deserved haha.
So, I gave myself a rule. In 2018 I have to try new stuff and take care of myself. My body, beauty, health and mental state. As a start I decided to finally get myself onto a Birchbox trend. I have been thinking of ordering a monthly subscription that it offers for a while. And as a combination of my plans and new rule, this seemed like the best time.

I love braids! As a hairdresser my favorite technique ever is braiding. Any type I can. With or without extension, cornrows, fishtails, dutch braids, french braids. Just love it. 

It is a perfect way to freshen up your summer style. I do them on myself all the time too. It works its magic really!

Obsessing

I have been trying to find the new me and combining things I like lately. But I love so much I dont know how to combine all of it no more haha. In a shortcut you can see here a taste of things that influence me and ehm.. well I dont think I am doing my best yet haha.

 Its all simple and mix of heels with sneakers but I can never figure out my hair do. I am bit limited with this bob I got I guess.

Latest Hair Love

I am pretty proud bout the hair creations I do, but those who know me have pretty good idea of how critical I can be at the same time. I always find something I would change. Even if it is just a use of one more product at styling or different comb to do a haircut. Always something. I do know this is good, even my lecturer says this is how critical she is of her work. Still. After all the time.

Thats why whenever someone asks me bout my favorite hair I did or style I just pause. I love it all. I did still try to choose my TOP 5 I created this year (female hairstyles only this time).

Hair Trends for Fall 2016 by Loreal

As a hairstylist and still a hair student I get a lot of opportunities to educate the crap out of me. In my college we work with L´oreal and ever since I started using their products I was sold. I feel like it really is one of the best brands you can use. And their trends and education is always on point. 

That is why ,whenever I get a chance to be a part of their presentation or demonstration I make sure I am there and I definitelly stick around till the end.
This time I have seen a new take on balayage and technique called strobing. I will make sure to write about this in a bit or perhaps make a new post on it.

Right now I want to share the biggest trends for fall and winter that L´oreal nicely summed up for all of us. I mean you might have already seen them, especially if you are a hair and fashion freak like me and you were keeping up with all of the fashion weeks.

Pinks and Silver

As a hairstylist I know a lot about trends and styles that are in now and will be soon. But also I see a certain pattern in what my clients are asking me to do. I am actually very happy to say that they all got bit more adventures lately and are going for more fun styles then before.

Most of my clients are asking for crazy colors, mostly PINK, purples or any pastelised version of those.
If they can´t go for something as bright  we often opt for silvers, steel, greys. Which also make me bloody happy since I am a big fan of these cool tones.
So I wanted to put it together a bit and show you things I did (and actually took pictures of) and share our little inspiration. Cause who knows, maybe this will give you that push to try some of these yourself.
