Sizing doesn' t matter

Does size matter? Question nearly as old as time, right. And I am not talking about what you may think. I am talking about female clothes sizing. Anyone who ever shopped in female section of the store knows what kind of a struggle it is to find the right fit. Every brand seems to have different meassurements for their sizing, it varies depending on a country you shop in etc. I have always been a bigger girl. Since my teens I struggled to find clothes that fit right and being a plussize, midsize or curvy has made this even more difficult. That takes a toll on once mental health, especially as a maturing and impretionable teenager. And takes years to not let it define you. 

There are thousands or milions of videos, articles, books and movies about this topic. I don`t think there is any new information I can provide, other then my own experience and opinion. This is my blog where I share exactly that, after all.

I love me a mood board. I have always enjoyed collecting a few inspiration photos and putting them together, to see what I am ejoying visually and then can use as a source of inspiration. This could do with interior design, fashion, skincare, makeup, hairstyles and more. Literally anything that resonates with me gets pinned on my pinterest and then I often post it all on here. You may have noticed that already. 

So here comes this months mood and vision. It has mostly to do with style I am dabbing into and food as I am loving cooking in my new kitchen.

 As some of you know, I like to post a few little 'mood' boards here and there to share things that inspire me or show of my feels lately. This month, as many of you, I am also in lockdown unable to work or do anything really. Which makes my 'mood' post very different to others.

 I don' t think I can actually put into words how much I have been enjoying these faux leather leggings over the last few months. It is just such a great everyday piece. Gives every outfit a little extra edge and keeps me comfortable no matter the activity I get up to. Shopping, errands, brunch, work. date...

I used to love wearing a lot of jewelry back in a day. Accessories in general. You would see me with a watch and bracelet combo, earrings, necklace, sunnies and maybe even a hair piece. Cause why not right? Well that has changed over the years. I seem to be always going through a phase. Few months where I am into necklaces more then anything or I had a year of hoops and statement earrings with no other jewelry on.

The other night I went for a lovely Christmas night out with my salon colleagues and we made some great plans. Loads of drinks and dancing, but to prepare ourselves we needed food. As most of us lived in Liverpool a long time now and been to pretty much every restaurant we knew we enjoy, we wanted to try something new. So as we all love Italian Gino D'Acampo seemed like a brilliant idea. Which it ended up being.

Wear a Crown, you deserve it

One of my favorite ways to accessories these days, is one hundred percent wearing a headband. They are so in and cute. Add a little something to any outfit and make you look like you are wearing your own crown.
I have been experimenting with a lot of different styles and thought I would show you some of my favorite once.

Hello lovelies! How is your summer going? Rainy just like mine? No? Well im sure jealous!
As I am seriously sat down looking out the window, seeing people with umbrellas, raincoats and cars splashing water around, I needed some cheering up. And what is better then having a session on pinterest and dreaming bout what you wish you could be doing, wearing or seeing? Well of course it would be better do actually make your dream a reality but as that is not always in our cards, here is a little inspo to keep us going. 

Technic : Get Gorgeous

Who doesn´t love a killer highlighter? Makes your face look all glowy, fresh, like you definitelly had enough sleep and water. If you choose the right shade, it even complimets your eyes and makes it pop. As soon as the sunlight hits your cheek bone.... Bam. It is basically my favorite part of make- up routine. At least these last couple of months.
I have definitelly tried a fair share of products and I know what shades suit me the most. Purples and pinks not only go with my skin complection, they also work with my eyes and hair color. Without sounding too cheesy and obsessed- they honestly create a little symphony of tones. Colors.

Kirsty Doyle the Fashion Boss of Liverpool?

One thing I love the most about Liverpool, is finding new talents, brands or events. That is why I was so amazed by this woman and her company, after I found out about her last year (she was established by then for years) . Kirsty Doyle and her fashion brand is Liverpool made and based. She is doing an amazing job and there are a lot of things that inspire me about her. That is why I wanted to share with you, why you should check her out.

The Merry and Bright

My favorite time of the year.
It is the hardest and most stressful build up that leads to a few days of joy, calm and love. Why do I get so worked up over the festive season? Because it is so worth it. Making myself extremely busy, just so I can take few days off and be with my family for Christmas. Spending all that time, figuring out the best presents for everyone, because it is so satisfying seeing their happy faces.
My family goes through a lot over the whole year. Work stuff, life stuff and all the other shit. For that reason it is very important for us to spend few days together to be thankful and stuffed with food.

Is it Winter yet?

I spent a nice crisp day in Liverpool the other day with my friend. And oh was it lovely. The city finally has the right festive atmosphere and weather is getting a lot cooler. People around shopping for Christmas and everywhere serves special menus. Just nice.
