Psoriasis and motherhood

I have suffered with a version of psoriasis since I was 8. It has always stayed on my scalp and grows into my brows during big breakouts. I have shared a few times now how I deal with it, what helps and what doesnt. Huge struggle in last 3 years has been my two pregnancies as those really added to my breakouts.

Three big factors for me in regards to breakout are : sleep, stress and diet. Each pregnancy lead to different sleep patterns, stress and also big changes in my diet. During my second round I actually managed to get my skin into an incredible condition. My first born has started to sleep a lot better and would only wake up one or two times a night. This meant, that I was able to get plenty of sleep. After the initial big change of moving to a different country, I started to have less and less stress. I was not worried about anything that had to do with the pregnancy or my kid. Everything was just really settling down and I was able to take a deep breath and you could really see that in my skin. Also, as far as the diet I have been almost completely meat free with the exception of white meat which is something that really really helps those who suffer with psoriasis and especially my case. I have been drinking a lot of fluids. The summer has been approaching and I was always thirsty so that was great. I also found a combination of two face products that helped to really moisturise my skin. It has seriously been the best I’ve seen in many many years.

FAFO parenting and my experience

I am a mum of two. Yes you read that right. If you are someone who has been reading my blog for years now, that will be a shock to you as I haven’t been super active in writing. But hey, now you know the reason for that.

In the last nearly 3 years I have learned a lot about parenting. I learned about myself, my child, parenting techniques etc. There are many ways to raise your children and you should not let anyone dictate what works for you or your child to be more specific. As a second time mumma I am also seeing that not every kid needs the same type of parenting. My son is 3 months old now and seems to be pretty different to what my daughter was. So who knows what the next year will bring me with him.

Here We Go Again

Surprise! Round two is about to commence. In July 2025 to be exact. And what a surprise this was.

There is something I havent mentioned on the blog yet, since I havent exactly been writing much lately, and that is the fact I am moving back to Slovakia.  After 10 years of living in the UK and a year of trying to make life in this country work for me and my family. So much has happened and there are many reasons why we made this decision but I can write about that another time. Today I am focusing on YOU my little one. Our little surprise that has decided to show up at one of the most hectic times of my life. Right at the beggining of our journey back to life in central Europe.

Stroll, Stroll, Stroll your Stroller Around

It has officially been 2 years of our baby girl Gigi and it has also officially been 2 years of pushing a pram and stroller around. Daily. Almost everywhere we go. As much as we have been huge fans of babywearing (meaning me and the baby) we have also had our fair share of pram days. Especially over the last  year since she got too tall and heavy for me to carry around. And we never compromised on activities we do either. I mean not only did we go to multiple countries but also went to beach, mountains, cobble stone city walks, parks, forrest paths, planes and so on. Our living situation has also required many many hikes up and down the stairs with the pram in one hand and baby in the other, taking all the transporations, from mentioned planes to trams, buses, trains, taxis. You name it, we did it.
So it is only fair I do a recap of the prams and strollers we have used and loved. I can honestly say I do not regret any of them and if what I write about them sounds like something you might need I am also adding links for you to be able to check them out some more.
